J:COM Launches iPhone 16 with A18 Chip – Pricing and Availability Details Released

J:COM has begun offering the iPhone 16, Apple’s latest smartphone featuring the A18 chip, to its customers in Japan. The carrier announced the rollout of the device through its mobile service, J:COM MOBILE, marking the availability of Apple’s newest iPhone model via this telecommunications provider.

The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models are powered by the all-new A18 chip, which Apple states delivers a significant leap in performance and energy efficiency. This advancement enables the devices to handle demanding applications such as AAA games while also providing improved battery life compared to previous generations.

Both the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus feature a 48MP Fusion camera system, which includes a 2x Telephoto option, effectively offering two camera functionalities in one unit. The iPhone 16 lineup became available for pre-order on September 13, 2024, with general availability beginning on September 20, 2024, as stated in Apple’s official press release.
