Jeddah Governorate ​has been experiencing heavy ‍rainfall,⁤ resulting in increased water levels on some roads,⁤ vehicle‌ breakdowns, and the suspension⁣ of private ⁤classes for students and staff in ‍Jeddah, Rabigh, and Khulais schools.

King Abdulaziz International Airport witnessed several flight diversions to Madinah ⁣Airport,‌ ensuring the ⁤safe arrival of passengers after weather conditions improved.

Weather Forecast and Precautions

Hussein Al-Qahtani, ⁢spokesman for the National‍ Center of Meteorology, confirmed that the rain in Jeddah city may ⁤continue until 2:00 p.m. ⁢the following day. He emphasized the importance of coordination with relevant authorities to facilitate field work.

The city of Jeddah is experiencing rainfall in⁤ most neighborhoods, with the Rawdah area recording the ⁤highest rainfall of 32.4 mm until ‍10 pm.

Education and ‍University Updates

The General Administration of Education ‌in the Makkah Al-Mukarrama region ⁢and the Jeddah Governorate have decided to transfer studies ⁣remotely through‍ the Madrasati platform, prioritizing everyone’s safety.

King Abdulaziz University has announced ⁣the transfer of private study for male and female students to the main headquarters of the university and the headquarters of Rabigh Governorate (remotely), implementing ⁢flexible working hours for employees.

The⁤ King Saud​ Bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences has confirmed the suspension of in-person studies at ⁤the university’s branch ⁣in Jeddah, with studies taking place in‍ virtual classes (online) instead. Employees will continue​ to work remotely.

The Institute​ of‌ Public Administration in ​the ​Makkah‍ region has transferred training, preparatory, and English⁢ language programs to the⁢ headquarters ⁢of the institute’s branch in Jeddah, suspending personal training in the Holy Mosque Makkah region.

The Crisis and Disaster Management Center of the ​Emirate of Makkah has urged ‌highway users and beachgoers to exercise⁣ caution, avoiding⁢ strong currents and flooded areas due to the region’s weather conditions.
