Jeju Dream Tower Resort Complex has surpassed KRW 50 billion in monthly sales for the first time since its opening in December 2020. Lotte Tour Development announced that the resort complex recorded sales of 50.549 billion won in August, thanks to brisk sales of the hotel and casino.
This achievement represents a 23.1% (KRW 9.4 billion) increase compared to the previous best performance of KRW 41.056 billion in May, and a 57.2% (KRW 18.3 billion) increase compared to the same period last year (KRW 32.158 billion).
Dream Tower Casino’s net sales last month were 33.012 billion won, rising to the 30 billion won range for the first time. This is a 21.8% (5.9 billion won) increase from the previous highest sales of 27.112 billion won in May. The cumulative net sales were 192.411 billion won, more than 2.2 times the same period last year (86.027 billion won).
The August table drop amount was 159.579 billion won, and the number of users was 37,494, both breaking previous records. Hotel division (Grand Hyatt Jeju) sales amounted to KRW 17.537 billion, exceeding KRW 3.3 billion (23.1%) compared to the same period last year (KRW 14.252 billion).
Guest rooms also recorded a record high, with a total of 49,470 rooms sold. As direct overseas flights expand and the number of Asian tourists increases rapidly, the percentage of foreigners among guests at Jeju Dream Tower Resort Complex has increased from 57.7% in August last year to 71.3% last month.
A Lotte Tour Development official stated, “The synergy effect of the hotel and casino with world-class service is growing,” and “We expect the performance to continue as there are special events due to domestic and international holidays in September and October.”
