Jeju Fire Safety Headquarters Produces 2027 Calendar for Charity

Jeju Fire Safety Headquarters announced that a total of 24,360,000 won was raised through the previous year’s promotional calendar event, which funded safety upgrades for eight vulnerable households, as app.ihalla.com reported. Building on that initiative, the agency collaborated with the Jeju Community Chest of Korea to produce the 2027 Jeju Fit Firefighter Calendar, featuring seven active-duty firefighters and three volunteer firefighters who donated their talents to support fire safety improvements and spread a culture of sharing across the island.

Calendar Sales Fund Fire Safety Installations for Vulnerable Homes

The upcoming fundraising campaign is scheduled to run through November and December on the official website and social media channels of the Jeju Fire Safety Headquarters. Revenue generated from past calendar distributions directly funded the Ansim Gaok Making project, which installed Internet of Things smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, and automatic fire-suppression multi-taps in homes designated as fire-vulnerable. According to app.ihalla.com, the selected households also received electrical, gas, and lighting repairs alongside wallpaper and flooring replacements to secure safer living conditions.

Corporate Philanthropy and Agricultural Volunteer Work

Corporate participation in local welfare efforts continued as architectural firm Sihyeon joined the Jeju branch of the Korean Red Cross humanitarian campaign known as Busumiga Bareun Gieop, committing to regular monthly sharing activities for vulnerable residents, app.ihalla.com reported. Meanwhile, the second-term supporters group of Jeju City Agricultural Cooperative mobilized on October 6, 2026, to assist member farms in Daeheul-ri with tangerine harvesting. The volunteers completed safety and technique briefings before starting fieldwork, marking the conclusion of their five-month term.

Local Festivals and Law Enforcement Expansion

Cultural events and public safety measures also marked early October 2026 across Jeju. Ildo 1-dong hosted the 9th Haha Festival on October 3, 2026, at the Bukrugu Square area under the theme of vibrant downtown revitalization and resident harmony, drawing about 1,000 residents and tourists to singing and rock music contests, as app.ihalla.com detailed. Separately, the Jeju Provincial Autonomous Police Corps launched the Jochon-eup Resident Autonomous Police Unit on October 5, 2026, commissioning 41 residents from eight local villages to monitor neighborhood safety.
