Jennifer Lopez Drops New Single “Birthday” to Celebrate Her 56th
Jennifer Lopez is ringing in her 56th birthday with a brand new track,aptly titled “Birthday.” The pop icon released her frist solo single of the year on Thursday, a celebratory anthem that’s already destined for birthday playlists everywhere.
The Rob Bisel-produced song features a confident chorus: ”Name on top of the cake, it’s my birthday / I’ma make this famous ass shake, it’s my birthday / Throwin’ all this money in they face, it’s my birthday / Everyday is my birthday, bitch!”
Lopez has been treating fans to “Birthday” during her “Up All Night” tour across Europe, wich is set to continue through mid-August. Her birthday celebrations included a stop in Turkey, where she brought the song’s celebratory cake imagery to life.
Sharing her joy on Instagram, Lopez posted a mirror selfie and a carousel of photos from her festivities, writng, “What a gift you all are! Thank you so much for all your gorgeous birthday wishes.” During her show in Antalya, Turkey, her close friend Stevie Mackey led the sold-out audience and her band in a heartfelt rendition of “Happy Birthday” as the clock struck midnight.
The tour continues with upcoming performances in Warsaw, Bucharest, abu Dhabi, Kazakhstan, Istanbul, and Sardinia. These international dates precede her highly anticipated “Up All Night” residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas,kicking off on New Year’s Eve. Lopez is scheduled for three shows this winter, with an additional eight dates planned for March 2026.
While “Birthday” marks her latest solo release, Lopez has also been active in other musical ventures. Joel Corry recently remixed her track “Get Right” for the dancefloor. Last year, she celebrated the 25th anniversary of her seminal album On the 6th and released her album and feature film, This Is Me… Now.
