Jerry Lawler recovering After Third Stroke
WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler, 75, is recovering after suffering a minor stroke two weeks ago at his condo in Florida, according to a report from FOX13 Memphis on September 15, 2025. This is Lawler’s third stroke, following incidents in 2018 and 2023, which led him to cancel scheduled appearances and autograph signings.
In an interview with FOX13’s Valerie Calhoun, Lawler revealed he had not been taking his prescribed medication in the days leading up to the stroke. He experienced vision problems as an inevitable result, stating he initially did not recognize his own home upon returning to it.
Despite the recent health scare,Lawler expressed a positive outlook, telling FOX13 he is “pretty good.” He also shared his gratitude for the outpouring of support he received during his hospitalization.
“I remember lying in the bed in the hospital and when people that I knew, like family members, came in and I didn’t even recognize them. People kept coming out of nowhere to thank me and to pray for me. All of that means such a great, great deal to me and I want to thank them for all that,” Lawler said.
Lawler emphasized his commitment to recovery and confirmed he is now consistently taking his medication.
