Yorkshire Women have secured Australian all-rounder Jess Jonassen for their inaugural Tier One season in 2026.the two-year deal brings a wealth of experience to the team, as Jonassen, 32, is a seasoned left-arm spinner with an remarkable international record.
Jonassen’s accolades include five T20 World Cup wins and one One-Day World Cup title. She has also participated in six Test matches, showcasing her versatility across different formats of the game. Her previous stint in Britain saw her contribute to Welsh Fire’s journey to The Hundred final in 2024.
Head coach Richard Pyrah emphasized the significance of Jonassen’s signing. He believes her international pedigree and skill set will greatly benefit the team as they prepare for Tier One competition.
