Jessie J, the British singer known for hits like “Price Tag,” has announced she has been diagnosed with early breast cancer. The 37-year-old, whose real name is jessica Cornish, shared the news in an instagram video, explaining she has been undergoing numerous tests recently.
Cornish said she intends to “disappear for a bit” following her performance at Capital Radio’s Summertime Ball later this month to undergo surgery. She emphasized the importance of early detection, adding levity by saying it was a “dramatic way to get a boob job” and joking about returning with “massive tits and more music.”

The singer also spoke about the importance of sharing her diagnosis to process the news and connect with others facing similar battles. Breast cancer remains the most common cancer among women in the United Kingdom.
Jessie J expressed that sharing her story helps her cope and provides an possibility for others to offer support and share their own experiences. “It breaks my heart that so many people are going through so much similar and worse,” she said.
She added, “The timing of it has been mad but also beautiful and given me this amazing outlook in this time… But honestly I need to process it and talk about it and, I need a hug.”
