Jessie J, the “Price Tag” singer, recently shared that she has been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer. The 37-year-old, whose full name is Jessica cornish, disclosed the news in an Instagram video, explaining that she has been undergoing numerous tests. She plans to have surgery following her performance at Capital’s Summertime Ball.

Jessie J has faced previous health challenges, including a heart condition diagnosed at age eight,a minor stroke at 18,and temporary deafness in 2020. She had a son, sky Safir Cornish Colman, in 2023, after experiencing a miscarriage in November 2021. Despite these hardships, she maintains a positive outlook.
“I was diagnosed with early breast cancer. Cancer sucks in any form, but I’m holding on to the word ‘early.’ It’s a very dramatic way to get a boob job. I am going to disappear for a bit after Summertime Ball to have my surgery, and I will come back with massive tits and more music.”
the singer hopes that by being open about her cancer diagnosis, she can provide support and encouragement to others. She acknowledged the difficult timing but expressed gratitude for the perspective it has given her.
“I just wanted to be open and share it. One,because, selfishly,I do not talk about it enough. I’m not processing it as I’m working so hard. I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me with other people giving me their love and support and also their own stories. I’m an open book.”
What’s next
Following her performance at the Summertime Ball, Jessie J will undergo surgery. She plans to take some time off to recover and process her diagnosis before returning to music.
