JetZero Selects North Carolina for All-wing Aircraft Factory
JetZero, developing a novel all-wing airplane, has chosen North Carolina as the location for its new manufacturing facility. The company plans to produce its Z4 passenger plane at the Piedmont Triad International Airport. This move marks a critically important step in bringing the fuel-efficient aircraft to market.
The “all-wing” design of the planned Z4 passenger plane is projected to deliver “up to 50% better fuel efficiency” compared to traditionally shaped commercial planes, according to the company. The aircraft is expected to accommodate around 250 passengers, featuring a unique interior space with six passenger bays and a central galley.Airlines will have options for “no-middle-seat” and “family seating” configurations.
