TSUKUBA, Japan – JICA Tsukuba is offering an overseas teacher training program for educators interested in international understanding and progress education.The 2025 program will include a visit to the Republic of Uganda in East Africa.
The program aims to deepen participants’ understanding of the current situation in developing countries, the field of international cooperation, and the relationship between developing countries and Japan. JICA hopes teachers will use this knowledge to inform their lessons and promote international understanding among students.
Following the training, participants are expected to collaborate with JICA Tsukuba to promote international understanding and development education in their respective educational settings.
Uganda Selected as 2025 Destination
Uganda, known for its abundant water and greenery, was selected as the overseas training destination for 2025.The country is expected to experience further economic growth in the future. The program will provide teachers with resources and methods for teaching international understanding, including material collection and teaching material research.
Target Audience
The program is open to teachers at elementary schools, junior high schools, high schools, secondary schools, vocational schools, and special needs schools who are interested in or planning to engage in international understanding and development education.
How to Apply
