Jill scott Announces ‘Who Is Jill Scott?’ 2024 Tour Dates
Jill Scott is set to embark on a 2024 tour, performing her debut album, “Who Is jill Scott?: Words and Sounds Vol.1,” in its entirety. The tour,produced by Live Nation Urban,will visit more than 20 markets nationwide,showcasing Scott’s hits like “Gettin’ in the way” and “A Long Walk.”
The Jill Scott tour will include special multi-show residencies in Washington, D.C., at the MGM National Harbor during Mother’s Day weekend, and in her hometown of Philadelphia at the MET Philadelphia. This marks the first time the North Philadelphia native will perform at The MET.
The Philadelphia stop will also feature a fundraiser at the Arden Theater to benefit Scott’s non-profit, the Blues Babe Foundation. The Who Is Jill Scott tour aims to bring fans back to the essence of her debut album.
“My band and I were so excited three years ago,but that damn COVID shut us down,” Scott said in a press release.”Now, we outside! Come see me. Come feel again. Relive your favorite moments. Ya’ll ready to settle down and get with this?!? It’s a lot of love here.”
Scott’s debut album, released in July 2000, achieved double platinum status and garnered several Grammy nominations, including best new artist, best R&B album, and best female R&B vocal performance.
Pre-sales for the 2024 Jill Scott tour begin Dec. 6. The tour kicks off in February in Augusta, Ga., at the Bell Auditorium.
