Jim Jones recently weighed in on comparisons between himself and Nas, asserting his unique contributions to hip-hop. The discussion arose during an appearance on Fat Joe and Jadakiss’ podcast, ”Joe and Jada,” prompted by a viral clip suggesting Jones wields more influence than the Queensbridge legend.
While acknowledging Nas’s impact, Jones emphasized his own distinct style and lane. “I was a superior Nas fan, but when you get into the game, you realize your idols become rivals,” Jones said. “I developed my own style and my own lane that these kids started to gravitate towards, the same way I gravitated towards Nas when I was younger.”
