Blackpink’s Jisoo received the Madame Figaro Rising Star Award at the Cannes International Series Festival 2026 on April 23, expressing her gratitude to fans and reflecting on the significance of the event as her first time attending Cannes alone.

The award, presented by the French publication Madame Figaro, recognized her work in acting projects including the series “Snowdrop,” “Newtopia,” and Netflix’s “Boyfriend on Demand.” Jisoo stated that she wanted to show fans a new side of her through different projects and expressed happiness at receiving an award that represents their support.

She noted that she learned new things through these projects and received help from many people, adding that the encouragement gave her strength to take one more step forward in her career. Jisoo emphasized that she will never forget the gratitude from her fans and will continue to work hard to show them a better side of herself.

Jisoo appeared on the pink carpet wearing a beautiful pink-coloured floor-length off-shoulder gown, drawing attention for her elegant appearance. She became the first Asian and Korean actress to receive the Madame Figaro Rising Star Award, marking a historic moment in the festival’s history.

Her solo EP “Amortage” was released the previous year, and she has been actively balancing her music career with acting roles. Despite ongoing public attention surrounding a criminal investigation involving her older brother, Jisoo focused her remarks on her artistic growth and appreciation for fan support during her acceptance speech.

She concluded by saying she will do her best to show fans a better side of her and thanked everyone for an unforgettable moment at the ceremony.
