J&K: 3 Inmates, Including Pakistanis, Escape Juvenile Home After Attacking Cops | Jammu News

RS Pura, Jammu and Kashmir – A security alert has been triggered in the RS Pura area of Jammu and Kashmir after three inmates, including two Pakistani nationals, escaped from a juvenile observation home on Monday evening. The escapees allegedly assaulted two police personnel on duty before fleeing the facility.

According to reports, the incident occurred around 5:15 pm. Sources indicate the inmates attacked guards at the facility, resulting in injuries to SPO Vinay Kumar and Head Constable Parveen Kumar, who were subsequently hospitalized. The assault was captured on CCTV cameras, officials confirmed.

The escaped inmates have been identified as Karajeet Singh alias Gugga, a resident of Dablehar village in RS Pura, and Pakistani nationals Mohammad Suna-ullah and Ahsan Anwar, both reportedly from Punjab province in Pakistan. Authorities are currently conducting a massive search operation to locate the fugitives.

Following their escape from the observation home, the trio allegedly robbed a motorcycle at gunpoint and departed RS Pura, according to sources. Police have established special security checkpoints along routes leading to Samba district and within Jammu city, anticipating the possibility that the escapees may attempt to reach the national highway and leave the region.

The presence of two Pakistani juveniles in a sensitive border district has raised concerns among security agencies, who are treating the incident as more than a routine escape. RS Pura is located close to the International Border and has long been considered a vulnerable area due to infiltration risks.

Investigators are examining whether the escape was pre-planned and exploring potential links to cross-border movement.
