Meningococcal Meningitis Protection
The Acwy vaccine is a vital defense against meningococcal meningitis, a possibly life-threatening bacterial infection. The Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS) provides this vaccine routinely to children at 12 months and adolescents aged 11-14 years.
Measles Elimination Campaign
Santa Catarina is actively working to prevent the reintroduction of measles through a targeted vaccination campaign utilizing the triple viral vaccine. This vaccine is available for individuals up to 59 years of age. Vaccination Locations and Hours
Vaccination services are available at several locations from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM and from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM: FHS Centro 1, Frei Bruno, Santa Tereza, Vila Pedrini, Vila Remor, São Brás, and Our Lady of Lourdes. The ESF Centro 1 vaccine room, located near AMU, offers extended hours until 8:00 PM every Wednesday.
