Oklahoma,fresh off hiring Washington State’s offensive brain trust,has secured a major victory in the transfer portal,landing the nation’s top-ranked transfer quarterback,John Mateer.
Mateer, who announced his commitment on social media Wednesday, joins the Sooners after a breakout season as Washington State’s starter in 2024. The redshirt junior, ranked No. 1 overall in ESPN’s transfer rankings, will have two years of eligibility remaining.
