Textor, who remains chairman, CEO, and majority owner of Eagle Football Holdings, confirmed his departure from day-to-day operations at the French club. Michael Gerlinger has been appointed CEO, while Michele Kang will assume the roles of chair and president. Lyon recently faced relegation to Ligue 2.
Textor stated he will now concentrate on his other clubs, including Botafogo and Daring Brussels, while hinting at a future role with an English club. This strategic shift emphasizes his focus on markets where he has greater operational freedom to invest and compete.
