Position: Maintenance Lead (Asset Reliability Lead)

Reporting to: Process & Asset Reliability Manager

Location: Blackpool, UK

Contract: Full Time/Permanent

Job Position Summary

Oversee daily operations of the asset reliability function, including maintenance and calibration teams. Ensure production assets perform reliably while adhering to safety regulations. Collaborate with teams to meet goals and improve equipment efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote a culture of Quality First and Safety Always.
  • Set maintenance objectives with management.
  • Lead preventive maintenance and repairs.
  • Implement asset reliability and capital investment initiatives.
  • Coordinate maintenance engineering and calibration activities.
  • Enhance productivity of manufacturing through maintenance projects.
  • Conduct risk assessments for new equipment.
  • Manage team performance and compliance.
  • Attend daily Value Stream meetings.
  • Work towards Best-in-Class facilities.
  • Develop budget for maintenance and provide financial updates.
  • Supervise team and identify training needs.
  • Contribute to capacity increase projects.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality regulations.

Qualifications

We welcome applicants with the following qualifications:

Essential:

  • Degree in Engineering or Science; 4-5 years in Maintenance/Operations.
  • Experience in process engineering and asset reliability.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience in medical devices or regulated manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with automated production processes.
  • Knowledge of relevant technical processes and regulations.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent communication with stakeholders.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Ability to adapt and improve in a dynamic environment.
