Join the 2024 Mercer Health Charity Ball: Support Childbirth Center Enhancements & Win a Corvette!

Charity Ball and Corvette Raffle Support Mercer Health Childbirth Center

Over 400 guests attended the MED Foundation of Mercer Health’s 2024 Charity Ball on Saturday, November 16, 2024. This annual formal event took place at Opulence Event Center in Celina, featuring an Opulence of India theme. Guests enjoyed a cocktail social, a three-course meal, and live entertainment. A 2025 Sebring Orange Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Coupe was awarded during the 10th annual 1,200 ticket reverse raffle. Ryan Evers from Fort Recovery, Ohio, won the Corvette with ticket #624. Scott LaGuire from St. Henry also won a pair of Bose Bluetooth sunglasses and a $100 gift card from iHeart Radio as the first ticket drawn.

Deb Hemmelgarn, MED Foundation Director and Event Chairperson, thanked the community for their support. “The Mercer Health Charity Ball would not be possible without our generous sponsors,” she said.

The Charity Ball began in 1950 and was reintroduced in 2015 to mark Mercer Health’s 65th anniversary. Originally coordinated by the Auxiliary of Mercer County Community Hospital, it now supports local healthcare needs through a community-led volunteer effort.

The next Mercer Health Charity Ball will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2025.

Annual MED Foundation Friend of the Year Announced

The MED Foundation recognizes individuals, businesses, and organizations for their support of Mercer Health. Each year, the foundation honors a Friend of the Year for their contributions. This year, Moorman, Harting and Company received this honor for their key role in the Corvette Raffle since it started in 2015.
