Join the Pac-Man NFT Scavenger Hunt in Tokyo for 45th Anniversary Celebration
Flickplay and Bandai Namco Entertainment are joining forces to celebrate Pac-Man’s 45th anniversary. They will host a scavenger hunt in Tokyo’s Shibuya district from February 8 to 11, 2025, during the DIG Shibuya Festival. Participants can collect Pac-Man-themed NFTs by visiting specific locations in the area.
The event will feature a combination of location-based gameplay and digital collectibles, honoring the classic arcade game while using new technology. Flickplay allows users to interact with NFT-based digital characters across various blockchain ecosystems, including Flow, Ethereum, and Polygon.
More than 40 locations in Shibuya will serve as hunt spots, which is historically significant as it is where Pac-Man was first introduced in 1980. Participants will have access to two NFT collections:
- Shibuya-Exclusive Series: Only for those attending the event.
- Global Series: Available for fans worldwide after the festival.
To participate, interested individuals can buy an Experience Pass during pre-sale. This pass offers:
- Access to Diamonds, the in-app currency needed to claim NFTs.
- An initial Pac-Man digital collectible.
During the hunt, players will use the app to visit designated locations and exchange Diamonds for limited-edition collectibles. Additionally, participants will receive a “Super Rare Item” as a bonus reward, with details to be announced later.
Join the scavenger hunt to enjoy an exciting blend of nostalgia and new technology while collecting unique Pac-Man NFTs!
