Jonathan Majors‘ Ex-Girlfriend Drops Lawsuit
Grace Jabbari, the ex-girlfriend of Jonathan Majors, has dropped her federal lawsuit accusing him of assault and defamation. The lawsuit was filed in March in a New York federal court, shortly before Majors was sentenced to probation for two misdemeanor charges of reckless assault and harassment.
Majors’ legal troubles began with his arrest on March 25, 2023, following a physical altercation with Jabbari in their chauffeured car in Manhattan. The case escalated after an argument over messages from another woman on Majors’ phone.
In her defamation complaint, Jabbari detailed incidents of verbal and physical abuse that she claims occurred during their relationship, which started in 2021. The lawsuit included a graphic account of an incident in July 2022 when Majors allegedly pinned Jabbari against a shower door and pushed her into a shower wall.
Majors was convicted in December for reckless assault and harassment. He faced several charges but was found not guilty of intentional assault and aggravated harassment against Jabbari during last year’s trial. Throughout the legal process, Majors maintained that he did not assault Jabbari and suggested that he was the victim of her actions and racial bias from the police.
Jabbari’s lawyer stated that confronting someone as powerful as Majors requires courage. In response, Majors’ lawyer indicated that he is preparing counterclaims against Jabbari, implying ongoing legal contention.
Despite facing serious allegations and losing professional opportunities, Majors’ management firm, WME, has retained him even after the controversies.
