An untitled action film produced by The Daily Wire and Dallas Sonnier’s Bonfire Legend is facing significant production turmoil following an on-set accident involving lead actor Jonathan Majors and co-star JC Kilcoyne. The incident, which occurred on the production’s South Carolina set, has contributed to a crew strike led by the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE).

Footage obtained by Deadline and reported by Variety on April 3, 2026, shows Majors and Kilcoyne accidentally falling through a window during the filming of a scene. In the video, the two actors are seen stumbling backward into the glass before falling through the frame and dropping approximately six feet to the ground.

Details of the On-Set Accident

Sources indicate that the accident was caused by the use of an unsecured sheet of tempered glass. This specific pane of glass had been placed in the window to be purposefully shattered during a later stunt that was not intended to involve any actors. Because the tempered glass was only sitting loosely in the window frame, it failed to support the weight of the actors, leading to the fall.

Following the fall, the footage captures crew members rushing to the actors to ensure their safety. Two voices in the clip are heard affirming that they are good. A man identified as Majors is heard asking if the cameras were rolling during the accident, asking, Did we shoot it? and adding, Use it.

While Majors appeared unharmed, JC Kilcoyne sustained injuries during the incident. Sources with knowledge of the event stated that Kilcoyne required stitches all over his hands. Representatives for Kilcoyne told Variety that the actor is doing well and was taken care of immediately by production.

IATSE Strike and Labor Disputes

The accident has intensified a labor dispute that began several days prior. IATSE officially called a strike against the production on March 26, 2026. According to reports, the union’s initial efforts were focused on securing a contract to ensure that production payments were being made into the union’s health and pension funds.

IATSE Strike and Labor Disputes

However, the momentum of the strike effort grew over the subsequent weeks as safety concerns on the South Carolina set increased. Crew members who have since walked off the production reported that the safety issues became a primary driver for the labor action, culminating in the window accident involving the lead actors.

Production Response

Producers for the untitled action film have not denied the allegations regarding unsafe working conditions. When contacted by Deadline for comment regarding the safety concerns and the strike, producers responded by stating that they don’t negotiate with communists.

The production is a collaboration between the media company The Daily Wire, founded by Ben Shapiro, and Dallas Sonnier’s production company, Bonfire Legend. The project has now come under scrutiny from both industry unions and entertainment news outlets due to the combination of physical accidents and the refusal to negotiate with striking crew members.
