Jordan Taylor to Drive Spire Motorsports Truck at Lime Rock
Spire Motorsports announced that Jordan Taylor will pilot it’s No.7 Chevrolet Silverado in the NASCAR Truck series race at Lime Rock Park. This marks the first time a national NASCAR division will compete at the Connecticut road course.
“I’m eager to join Spire Motorsports for the LiUNA 150,” taylor said. He added that he has been in contact with the team for several years and is excited to finally work with them. Taylor acknowledged the challenge of joining mid-season but expressed confidence in the team’s competitiveness. He hopes to quickly adapt to the truck,despite his experience primarily being in other types of cars at Lime Rock.

Taylor is no stranger to stock car racing. He played a key role in the Garage 56 program at Le Mans in 2023 and has prior starts in both the Cup and Xfinity series.
In the Cup Series, Taylor substituted for chase Elliott at COTA, starting fourth and finishing 24th. He also competed in two Xfinity races with kaulig Racing, finishing 27th at Portland and 16th at the Charlotte Roval.
Taylor’s road racing accolades include back-to-back GTLM titles in IMSA (2020-2021) and IMSA prototype titles in 2013 and 2017. He boasts three Rolex 24 at Daytona wins, including two and a class victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. His victories also include the Sebring 12 Hours, Sahlen Six Hours at Watkins Glen, and Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta.
Jeff dickerson, co-owner of Spire Motorsports, praised Taylor’s accomplishments. “Jordan Taylor’s body of work speaks for itself,” Dickerson said. He also noted the opportunity to connect with Wayne Taylor Racing and highlight the TWG Motorsports family. Dickerson expressed high expectations for the race.
Spire Motorsports has utilized multiple drivers in the No. 7 truck this season. Kyle Busch and Carson Hocevar each secured a win in the truck.
While the Truck Series races at Lime Rock, the NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series will compete at Atlanta. The Cup race is set to feature a full field of 40 cars.
