Italy midfielder Jorginho is set to continue his career with Brazilian club flamengo, following his exit from Arsenal. The 33-year-old’s departure from the Gunners was confirmed after both parties reached a mutual agreement to terminate his contract.
The move allows the Brazil-born Jorginho to join Flamengo ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup, scheduled to begin June 14 in the United States. Flamengo announced his arrival Friday.
Jorginho initially came to the Premier League in 2018, joining Chelsea from Napoli. During his time at Stamford Bridge, he secured titles in the Champions League, Europa League, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup. He than moved to Arsenal in January 2023,making 78 appearances for the club.
