Reyes’ career path began in his father’s gardening and pruning business. He later transitioned to corporate finance,gaining experience at Bank of America before specializing in CU Direct Lending (CUDL). He joined Rize Credit Union after identifying it as a place for professional growth.
“I like to advance every two or three years,” Reyes said. “The savings and credit cooperative for which I worked before had no room to grow, but Rize was perfectly aligned with my objectives and values.”
Outside the Office
When not at work,Reyes enjoys outdoor activities such as walking his dog,Draco,and fishing. He is also a fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Recently married, he describes his wife as “incredible.” His daughter is studying psychology at UCLA, and his son is pursuing engineering and computer science at UC Berkeley.
Looking ahead, Reyes envisions a future retirement in the countryside, growing his own produce and enjoying a slower pace of life.
While primarily speaking English, Reyes jokes that he knows enough Spanish to order food.
