Former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist josh Klinghoffer will not serve prison time after pleading no contest to misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter. The charge stems from a March 2024 incident in Los Angeles were Klinghoffer struck and killed 47-year-old Israel sanchez with his vehicle.
Klinghoffer, also known for his work with Pearl Jam and as Pluralone, entered the plea in an Alhambra, California, courtroom. Sanchez was in a crosswalk when Klinghoffer’s 2022 GMC Yukon hit him.He died later at a hospital.
