Offensive tackle Josh Simmons, the team’s first-round draft pick, is set to participate fully after recovering from a torn patellar injury sustained last season at Ohio State. coach Andy Reid confirmed Simmons’ readiness Thursday.
Wide receiver Rashee Rice, who also missed notable time last season due to a knee injury, has been cleared to participate in training camp as well.Rice participated in offseason practices, signaling his recovery progress.
Reid acknowledged Simmons’ dedication to rehabilitation. “You can see his athletic ability,” Reid said. “He’s got a great attitude… He worked his tail off to get there.” He added that training camp’s full-contact environment will provide a further test for the young lineman.
