Forty-five people were sentenced in a primary election case. Their prison terms ranged from 4 to 10 years. Tai Yaoting, one of the four main leaders, received the longest sentence. Eight individuals declined to appeal their sentences.

Deng Bingqiang, a key official, stated there was enough evidence to file charges. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the situation cannot be framed under the guise of democracy.

Officials identified 11 defendants involved in unlawful activities. Some expressed regret and sought earlier release. The four main leaders, including Ou Nuoxuan, received reduced sentences last September. They were jailed for 6 years due to a 20% reduction based on the district’s insights into the incident.
