Juanes Makes Film Debut in “Pimpinero: Sangre Y Gasolina” at TIFF
Juanes, the renowned singer, has made his film debut in ”Pimpinero: Sangre Y Gasolina,” directed by Andrés ‘Andy’ Baiz. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), and Juanes has expressed his enthusiasm for continuing to work in the film industry.
During an interview with EFE, Juanes discussed his experience working on the film, saying, “I would definitely like to do it again. I really liked the experience and I feel after doing this, I say: ‘Oh, okay, I think I can do it, I can do it a little bit better every time.’ Because that experience was like… very strong.”
Juanes also emphasized his commitment to music, stating, “I would love to do it again. Obviously music is my path. I’m never going to give up music, but I believe that these kinds of expression supplies are very rich and I would love to be able to do more one day.”
“Pimpinero” tells the story of a family of gasoline smugglers who venture to Venezuela to bring gasoline to Colombia at a discounted price, facing a powerful rival group and the Venezuelan authorities. Director Andrés ‘Andy’ Baiz brings this gripping story to life, and Juanes is eager to continue exploring the world of film.
