Vietnam’s Fruit Juice Exports to Pakistan: A New Milestone
Pakistan’s IMTIAZ supermarket group has made history by importing the first batch of fruit juice from Vietnam, featuring a diverse range of flavors including mango juice, pineapple juice, lychee juice, grape juice, apple juice, and guava juice.
The Vietnam Trade Office in Pakistan played a pivotal role in facilitating this achievement by organizing a delegation of Pakistani businesses to participate in the Vietnam International Sourcing 2024 event series in Ho Chi Minh City from June 6-8, 2024.
This milestone marks a significant breakthrough in Vietnam’s efforts to expand its export market for processed fruit products. The IMTIAZ Supermarket Group’s decision to import Vietnamese fruit juice is a testament to the quality and competitiveness of Vietnam’s agricultural products.
Pakistan, renowned for its mango production, ranking fourth in the world in mango exports, offers a vast market for fruit juice products. The country’s mango processing industry has attracted investments from leading global brands, including Nestle.
With its diverse climate zones, Pakistan is not only a major mango producer but also a significant exporter of other fruits, including apples, grapes, peaches, pomegranates, and guavas. This abundance of raw materials provides a stable supply chain for the processing industry.
IMTIAZ Supermarket Group, established in 1955, is a pioneering Pakistani enterprise in the supermarket sector and currently the largest retail chain in Pakistan, with 27 supermarkets across 12 major cities. The group distributes over 52,000 products, representing more than 10,000 brands.
Being distributed through IMTIAZ supermarkets is a badge of honor for any product, ensuring access to a vast consumer market of over 240 million people.
Vietnam’s successful export of fruit juice to Pakistan is a proud achievement, marking a significant milestone in the country’s efforts to diversify its export structure and develop its agricultural processing industry. This breakthrough is expected to create new opportunities for Vietnamese agricultural products and contribute to the growth of the country’s economy.
