Julie Chrisley, 52, is sporting her signature blonde locks ⁤again after she and her husband, ⁤Todd Chrisley, were released from federal ‍prison May 28, following a presidential pardon.A TikTok video showed Julie with⁣ her golden hair, a change⁤ from the brown hair with graying roots she ⁢was seen with upon her release from prison.

The change in Julie Chrisley’s appearance sparked online ​discussion.‌ “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson commented to Page Six Radio May 31, “She looks, I mean, she’s been in jail for two​ years.⁤ Like, what did you ⁣guys expect?”

Chase Chrisley, 29, told Entertainment Tonight ⁤ that his mother initially resisted returning to her‌ platinum blonde look. “I‌ mean my‌ mother’s an angel and she’s still a gorgeous woman. Her‍ hair’s darker now. I went, ‘Momma, we ⁤gotta [go] back platinum blonde,’ and she was like, ‘I’m not doing that.'”

the Chrisleys were initially indicted in 2019 on charges including tax evasion and bank fraud. After being convicted,⁤ they began serving a combined​ 19-year sentence in January ​2023. Julie’s sentence was seven years, while Todd received 12 years. Their sentences were later reduced by‌ nearly‌ two years each.

Following their release, Grayson Chrisley picked up⁢ Julie from the Kentucky detention center, while‍ Savannah Chrisley picked up Todd from a Florida prison. savannah,⁣ 27, told reporters ‍that her parents ⁢had not spoken or seen each other in more than two years.

Earlier this month, Savannah Chrisley shared on the “Unlocked” podcast that Julie spent her first days home doing ​laundry​ and​ spending time with Chloe and her. “The first ⁣morning she was⁢ home, we lay on ‍my bed ​and ‍just went through my Instagram and I⁣ just caught her up on all the posts‍ and videos and everything that’s gone ⁢on since​ she left,” Savannah said.

Todd ⁢Chrisley confirmed⁤ that‍ filming has begun for the family’s new Lifetime reality‍ show. The series will focus‍ on the family’s ⁢journey,including their legal battles and eventual pardons. Savannah Chrisley added that the show will cover everything from ⁣explaining the case and advocacy work to her parents receiving full ‌presidential pardons.
