Julie Chrisley Returns to Blonde Hair After Pardon
Julie Chrisley, 52, is sporting her signature blonde locks again after she and her husband, Todd Chrisley, were released from federal prison May 28, following a presidential pardon.A TikTok video showed Julie with her golden hair, a change from the brown hair with graying roots she was seen with upon her release from prison.
The change in Julie Chrisley’s appearance sparked online discussion. “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson commented to Page Six Radio May 31, “She looks, I mean, she’s been in jail for two years. Like, what did you guys expect?”
Chase Chrisley, 29, told Entertainment Tonight that his mother initially resisted returning to her platinum blonde look. “I mean my mother’s an angel and she’s still a gorgeous woman. Her hair’s darker now. I went, ‘Momma, we gotta [go] back platinum blonde,’ and she was like, ‘I’m not doing that.'”
the Chrisleys were initially indicted in 2019 on charges including tax evasion and bank fraud. After being convicted, they began serving a combined 19-year sentence in January 2023. Julie’s sentence was seven years, while Todd received 12 years. Their sentences were later reduced by nearly two years each.
Following their release, Grayson Chrisley picked up Julie from the Kentucky detention center, while Savannah Chrisley picked up Todd from a Florida prison. savannah, 27, told reporters that her parents had not spoken or seen each other in more than two years.
Earlier this month, Savannah Chrisley shared on the “Unlocked” podcast that Julie spent her first days home doing laundry and spending time with Chloe and her. “The first morning she was home, we lay on my bed and just went through my Instagram and I just caught her up on all the posts and videos and everything that’s gone on since she left,” Savannah said.
