Chavez Blasts Scull’s Performance in Canelo Fight
Saul “Canelo” Álvarez successfully unified the super middleweight division titles once again, securing a victory over William Scull.The judges’ scorecards read 115-113, 119-109, and 116-112, allowing Álvarez to reclaim the international boxing Federation (IBF) belt. Though, the fight’s lackluster action left many fans disappointed.
Throughout the 12 rounds, Scull largely avoided engaging wiht Álvarez. Despite the Mexican fighter’s attempts to land combinations, the match was marked by a distinct lack of impactful blows. Boxing experts and fans alike lamented what they considered a poor showing by Scull, who failed to deliver on his pre-fight promises.

Julio César Chávez, the legendary Mexican boxer, did not hold back his criticism during the fight. He voiced his displeasure with the uninspired performance from both fighters, directing particular ire toward scull for what he perceived as a refusal to truly fight.

During the Box Azteca broadcast, Chávez unleashed a series of uncensored comments, using strong language to attack Scull’s strategy. As the fight progressed,Chávez’s patience waned,and he expressed his disappointment with the unfolding events.
Chávez also suggested that commercial interests and brand promotion overshadowed the boxers’ performances.

As the final rounds approached, Chávez continued to question Scull’s constant movement around the ring, designed to evade Álvarez’s attacks. he also criticized the IBF for awarding Scull a championship without,in his view,a legitimate fight to earn it.
