On Friday, April 25, 2025, the Juneau Police Department responded to multiple incidents across the city, including assaults and other public safety calls, as documented in the Juneau Independent’s police blotter for April 24.
At 12:43 p.m., a 43-year-old male reported an assault. Later that day, at 6:16 p.m., officers responded to a report of an assault at Bartlett Regional Hospital involving a 33-year-old male and a 35-year-old male.
Additional incidents recorded in the blotter included an attempt to serve legal process, child abuse or neglect reports, a death investigation, disturbances, and various arrests related to warrants and suspected criminal activity.
At 8:42 a.m., Malik Brown was arrested on a $500 warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree assault and taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
At 1:05 p.m., Juneau Police Department filed a duplicate report involving alleged child abuse or neglect.
At 5:16 p.m., officers assisted with a death investigation of a 58-year-old male; no foul play was suspected, and next of kin had been notified.
Disturbance calls included an arrest at 4:35 a.m. Of Henry Johnson, 41, on Mendenhall Loop Road on $600 in warrants for failure to appear on original charges of trespassing and violating conditions of release. He was taken to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Later that evening, at 7:51 p.m., a 13-year-old female reported another 13-year-old female was assaulted by a 13-year-old male on Mendenhall Mall Road.
Additional enforcement actions included the arrest of Shaporia Glaspy, 41, at 1:50 p.m. On a $500 warrant for second-degree forgery and fraud, and Rose George, 35, at 2:16 a.m. On a $1,000 Kodiak Alaska State Troopers warrant; both were taken to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
At 4:53 p.m., Jesse Swanson, 47, was arrested on Mendenhall Mall Road on a no-bail warrant for a petition to revoke probation.
At 12 p.m., a 21-year-old male refused to stop at the direction of a police officer on Glacier Spur Road.
