Jupiter, Florida, Emerges as hotspot for Luxury Homes
Jupiter, Florida, is increasingly drawing wealthy homebuyers seeking a relaxed, storybook lifestyle, according to real estate experts. Agents note the town offers access to upscale amenities without the high prices and attention of nearby Palm Beach or Miami.
Seth mansfield, with Douglas Elliman, said Jupiter provides a “storybook lifestyle in a relaxed setting,” attracting affluent individuals. Jenna Stauffer, of Sotheby’s International Realty, added that Jupiter offers the “best of South florida living” at more reasonable prices compared to Palm Beach or Miami.
The influx of affluent homebuyers to Jupiter and South Florida surged during the COVID-19 pandemic. Stauffer said the trend continues due to Florida’s lifestyle and its “tax-kind and business-friendly environment.”

While Palm Beach homes listed for sale had a median asking price of $3 million in April,Jupiter presents a more accessible option. however, Jupiter still boasts luxury properties, with some listings ranging from $29 million to $45 million.
Mansfield noted the increasing wealth has elevated Jupiter’s real estate market. “The median price for a single-family home 5 years ago was $530,000 and the ceiling price was $12,250,000. Over the past year, those numbers are $980,000 and $48,000,000, respectively,” he said.

Stauffer said Jupiter’s luxury home inventory has tightened, leading to elevated prices.”There’s definitely more competition for turn-key luxury homes, and we’ve seen a rise in high-end renovations and new construction as sellers and developers respond to demand,” she said.
Both mansfield and Stauffer anticipate affluent homebuyers will continue to flock to Jupiter. Mansfield believes Jupiter is undervalued, offering similar benefits to Palm Beach at a discount. “You can get the same house on the same Bahama blue water for a 50-60% discount relative to Palm Beach,” he said.
Jupiter counts celebrities such as Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, and Tiger Woods among its residents. The late actor Burt Reynolds, a long-time resident, called it “the best place in the world.”
