Judge Paul McDermott instructed the jury of seven women and five men Tuesday before they began deliberations. After an initial period, they were sent home and resumed Wednesday, deliberating for over four hours before adjourning again.
The court was attended by relatives of Tina Satchwell, including her mother, Mary Collins, half-sister, Lorraine Howard, and cousin, Sarah Howard.

A postmortem examination could not determine the cause of death due to the remains’ condition. The jury was informed that there was no evidence of bone fractures, including the hyoid bone.
