Parakou: ‍Arrest⁢ of Alleged Suspect in Attack⁤ on 3rd‍ Grade Student

Police Investigation Leads‌ to Breakthrough in Ceg Albarika Attack Case

A⁣ student in the 3rd grade at⁤ Ceg ⁣Albarika in Parakou was attacked on Monday, September 23, 2024, around ⁢7:20 pm ‌in the Ganon area, in the ⁣first district of Parakou. The learner was⁢ returning home with other students ‍when he was attacked ‍with⁣ a knife by an ⁢individual in a ‍busy area known for acts of insecurity. The attacker attempted to ‍steal​ the ‍student’s mobile phone after stabbing him.

The police investigation led​ to the arrest of a suspect, who is reportedly a repeat ⁢offender. During‍ questioning, ‍the⁣ suspect admitted to ‍his involvement in the attack but denied the presence of ⁢an accomplice,​ a motorcycle‌ taxi driver who⁤ is currently being sought by the authorities.

A search of the suspect’s home revealed several SIM cards, a Zémidjan’s shirt with ⁤a fake number, and ‍prison⁣ release ⁤certificates. The investigation is ongoing.
