Grand-Bornand, France – Justine Breisaz-Bouchet secured a thrilling sprint victory on Friday, December 20th, at the Grand-Bornand, marking the third win for French biathletes in the early season. This victory follows Lou JeanmonnotS notable wins in the individual race at Kontiolahti, Finland, adn the pursuit at Hochfilzen, austria.
breisaz-Bouchet,a seasoned competitor with 12 career wins,faced stiff competition from Germany’s Franziska Preuss,who had dominated the hochfilzen sprint with a flawless shooting performance. However, Breisaz-Bouchet’s superior skiing speed ultimately proved decisive, granting her a narrow one-second victory despite a 9 out of 10 shooting performance.
“I’m very happy with the result and the way I raced,” Breisaz-Bouchet shared in a post-race interview with L’Equipe TV.This victory adds to Breisaz-bouchet’s impressive resume, which includes Olympic gold in the mass start at the 2022 Beijing Games and a world Championship gold in the same event at Nove Mesto in 2023. She also holds a previous grand-bornand victory, having triumphed in the mass start in December 2017.
