About the Juventus choir
Founded in 1977, the Juventus Choir has established itself as one of Latvia’s leading choral groups. Since 2014, the choir has been under the artistic direction of Valdis Tomsons. Under his leadership, Juventus has consistently ranked among the best choirs in latvia.
This success is demonstrated by their achievements in national competitions, including 3rd place in the Song Festival Choir Wars in 2018 and 1st place in 2023. The choir has also garnered international recognition, winning grand Prix awards at choir competitions in Switzerland, poland, and Finland, and securing 3rd place at the prestigious Baltic Sea choir Competition in Jurmala.
Currently,the choir benefits from the expertise of conductor Ieva zvejniece and vocal teacher Agneta Otaņķe,alongside Valdis Tomsons. The ensemble comprises 55 talented young singers.
