The inaugural class of Kai Cenat’s “Streamer University” has officially graduated. last week, 120 aspiring content creators, chosen from over a million applicants, participated in a live-in boot camp at the University of Akron. The entire event was streamed live by Cenat and the students themselves.
Kai Cenat, a top-earning creator with millions of Twitch followers, launched the streamer university to mentor both established and aspiring streamers. The free program covered room and board, and each student received a T-Mobile phone to document their experience.
The students generated significant buzz,collectively streaming across nearly 1,000 Twitch channels. The streams garnered over 719,000 peak concurrent viewers and more than 27 million hours of watch time, according to Twitch Tracker.

Beyond classroom snippets, some viral clips showed students skipping class and engaging in water gun fights, one of which resulted in a student being hospitalized.
Follower Growth for Graduates
Despite some reported misbehavior, many students experienced significant follower growth as a result of attending the university.
one participant posted on X, noting a dramatic increase in average views, jumping from below 100 to nearly 10,000.”I still think I’m dreaming,” she wrote.
The curriculum included lessons such as ”Defense Against Hating” and “Internet Beef,” taught by popular influencers. Rapper Drake made a surprise virtual appearance at the awards ceremony.
“Year one is officially in the books. Congratulations,” Drake said. ”To be able to organise this incredible academia event . . . is something that has never been done before. Show love to your dean, the one and only Kai Cenat.”
Cenat hinted on a recent Twitch stream that major streaming services have expressed interest in acquiring “Streamer University.”
Though, Cenat emphasized the importance of maintaining creative control. “With an idea like this so original, you gotta keep it where it’s at,” he said. “I want y’all to learn something, bro. Y’all channels, and who you are as a person… treat your platform as you would treat other platforms.”
What’s next
Cenat is considering offers from major streaming platforms to expand the Streamer University concept, while prioritizing creative autonomy and the continued growth of his students’ individual channels.
