Kaikōura Fires Under Control, but Risk Remains

Fire crews are working to extinguish several large fires in Kaikōura before anticipated increases in wind ⁢speed. On Tuesday,‍ November 21,⁢ 2023, fierce winds fueled multiple fires that resulted in the destruction of 14 buildings, including five homes.


Red⁣ Warnings Possible as Conditions Worsen
