Kairi Sane Addresses Wrestler Injuries,Emphasizes Her‍ WWE Role

 ‌ Updated June 19,2025

WWE’s Kairi Sane has spoken out ⁣following recent injuries sustained by wrestlers⁢ during matches where she ‍played ⁤a key role. Her⁢ comments ⁢come after ⁤Zoey Stark suffered critically important knee damage and Liv Morgan dislocated⁢ her shoulder ⁣in separate WWE raw events.

Stark’s injuries, including a torn ACL, MCL, ⁣and meniscus, ⁤occurred during a Money in the Bank qualifier⁢ against Sane and Rhea Ripley. Morgan’s dislocated shoulder happened in a Queen of the Ring qualifier involving Sane, Raquel⁤ Rodriguez, and Ivy Nile.

Sane addressed ⁢the incidents in a social media post Wednesday,⁢ stating she deeply ‌values the health of her opponents.

Sane wrote, “One of the⁢ most painful things for me is when a match ‌is decided not by wrestling, but because of an injury. I always step into ⁢the ring with deep⁢ respect for ‌my opponent, and I train hard every day to give the audience something they can truly enjoy. Even if it was ⁣never intentional, knowing that someone was hurt in a match with ⁢me is ‌something I carry ‌deeply. It breaks my heart. I hope with all my⁣ heart for a‍ full ⁤and ‍speedy recovery. I will continue to give⁣ my all, hoping to bring excitement—not pain—to‌ the ring.”

Stark is currently undergoing rehabilitation for her knee injuries at the UFC⁣ Performance Institute. Recovery from a torn ACL typically takes nine to 12 months. Morgan is expected to undergo surgery for her shoulder injury, though a‍ specific timetable for her return has ⁤not been released.

What’s next

Both Stark‌ and Morgan face uncertain recovery periods. Sane is expected to continue her WWE role, aiming to deliver exciting performances‌ while prioritizing wrestler safety.
