Chinese Scooter Channels Yamaha Vibes with Premium Twists

Could this budget-friendly ride be the next big thing in the scooter world?

A new scooter from China, the Kajiva Tundra 250, is turning heads with its striking resemblance to the popular Yamaha Xmax 250. But this isn’t just a copycat; the Tundra 250 boasts several upgrades that might even make Yamaha fans take notice.

At first glance, the Kajiva Tundra 250 is a near-identical twin to the yamaha Xmax 250. Though, the Chinese manufacturer has gone a step further, addressing some perceived shortcomings of the Yamaha model. One notable upgrade is the adoption of an aluminum handlebar, lending a more premium feel. The Tundra 250 also features upside-down suspension and dual disc brakes, enhancing both handling and stopping power.

“They’ve really made it feel more premium,” says Alex, an avid scooter enthusiast. “Rather of the standard handlebars, they’ve gone with aluminum ones. And get this, it has upside-down suspension and dual disc brakes – things you don’t usually find on a scooter in this class.”

Under the hood, the Tundra 250 packs a punch with a 250cc, four-valve, single-cylinder engine that’s liquid-cooled and equipped with Bosch fuel injection. this setup delivers an impressive 24.5 horsepower and 14.6 nm of torque, promising a spirited ride.

“It’s got a 250cc, liquid-cooled engine with Bosch fuel injection, putting out almost 25 horsepower and over 14 nm of torque,” Alex explains. “It’s supposed to be quite nimble and powerful.”

While the Kajiva Tundra 250 is currently only available in China, its impressive specs and Yamaha-inspired design could make it a contender in the global scooter market.

“That’s insane for a scooter!” exclaims Maya, another scooter enthusiast. “Do you think it could rival the Yamaha Xmax in performance?”

Alex believes it has the potential. “It definitely has the potential,” he says.”And considering the price difference is likely to be meaningful, it could be a real game-changer for budget-minded riders who want that sporty look and feel.”

Could the Kajiva Tundra 250 be the next big thing in the scooter world? only time will tell, but its impressive specs and affordable price point certainly make it one to watch.
