Divorce Proceedings Intensify as Kandi Burruss Accuses Estranged Husband of Living Rent-Free

Reality television star Kandi Burruss has publicly accused her estranged husband, Todd Tucker, of residing rent-free in her Atlanta guest house while their divorce proceedings unfold, and of failing to contribute financially to their children. The allegations surfaced in recent court filings obtained by TMZ.

According to the documents, Burruss claims Tucker has been living in the guest house – located on property she purchased prior to their marriage – without covering any expenses related to its upkeep. These expenses include utilities, gas, lawn care, water, pest control, and even the alarm system.

The filing further alleges that Tucker has not provided any financial support for their two children, Ace and Blaze. Burruss states she remains the primary caregiver despite her professional commitments, including a current engagement on Broadway in New York, and relies on a nanny to assist with childcare. She claims Tucker attended recent birthday celebrations for their children but declined to contribute to the associated costs.

Burruss initially filed for divorce in November 2025. Since then, the couple has engaged in disputes over custody and financial support. Burruss originally requested a joint custody agreement, but later sought sole custody, as did Tucker.

The court documents reveal Burruss has been traveling between Atlanta and New York since late 2025 to fulfill her Broadway obligations. Despite her work commitments, she asserts she continues to travel back to Atlanta to spend time with her children.

In her filing, Burruss is requesting a judge to order Tucker to begin paying child support and to formalize a parenting time arrangement. She is seeking a clear order outlining the responsibilities and time each parent will have with their children.

As of this reporting, a response from Tucker’s legal representation has not been received.

The situation highlights the increasingly contentious nature of the divorce between the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum and her husband, as they navigate the complexities of separating their lives and co-parenting their children.
