KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kansas City Men’s Basketball has added a third local prospect to the 2026 signing class, announcing the signing of Will Goode on April 16, 2026.
Goode, a 6’9 forward from St. Thomas Aquinas, is the second-ranked recruit in the state of Kansas and the No. 50 power forward in the nation according to 247 Sports.
He chose to play for Kansas City because of the relationship he built with the coaching staff, stating, “We talked a lot about my future and how my skill set will work in their system. I’m excited to help Kansas City win games.”
Goode recently played for New Hampton School in New Hampshire for the 2024-25 season, but prior to that played three years for St. Thomas Aquinas under Coach Jake Kupersmith.
On his career, Goode averaged 13.3 points and 7.1 rebounds per game, shooting 62% from two-point range. During his junior season, he was named First Team EKL and Third Team All-State.
He played club ball for KC RunGMC under Coach LJ Goolsby, making him the third RunGMC prospect to sign with the Roos.
Originally from Louisburg, Kan., Goode was born on May 4, 2006 to parents Mark and Amy Goode. His father played football at Hutchinson CC and his mother played volleyball at Kansas State.
Goode has three siblings: Dylan and Madeline DeShazer and Vivian Goode. Dylan played basketball at nearby Avila and Madeline played volleyball at Emory University.
