Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, has returned to performing in the United States with a series of high-grossing comeback concerts in Los Angeles. According to a Bloomberg report published on April 5, 2026, two shows held at SoFi Stadium on April 1 and April 3 earned a combined $33 million.
The first of the two sold-out events reportedly earned $18 million, positioning it as one of the highest-grossing live shows of all time. The performances took place at the 70,000-capacity venue in Inglewood, California, marking the artist’s first solo appearances in the U.S. Since 2021.
Production and Performance Details
The Homecoming
shows featured a massive stage design centered around a half-orb or half-globe structure located in the middle of the stadium floor. Ye performed atop this structure, accompanied by zooming lasers and timed fireworks bursts during a set that lasted approximately two hours.
The concerts included guest appearances from several high-profile artists and family members, including:
- Travis Scott
- Lauryn Hill
- Don Toliver
- North West
Context of the Comeback
These performances follow a period of significant controversy and a public effort by the artist to atone for past conduct. In January 2026, Ye took out a full-page advertisement in the Wall Street Journal to ask for forgiveness for previous comments and actions.

In the advertisement, he attributed his behavior—which included declaring I am a Nazi
and the release of a single titled Heil Hitler
—to a bipolar type-1 diagnosis. He described a four-month-long manic episode of psychotic, paranoid and impulsive behavior
that impacted his life.
The comeback effort also coincided with the release of his 12th studio album, titled Bully
, which was released on March 20, 2026, after multiple delays over the preceding year.
International Challenges and Cancellations
Despite the financial success of the Los Angeles shows, Ye’s attempt to resume international performances has met significant resistance. His scheduled headlining appearances at the Wireless Festival 2026 have been canceled after local officials in the United Kingdom denied the rapper entry into the country.
The cancellation followed threats from corporate sponsors, including Diageo and Pepsi, to withdraw their support if Ye performed at the event.
As with every Wireless Festival, multiple stakeholders were consulted in advance of booking Ye and no concerns were highlighted at the time. Antisemitism in all its forms is abhorrent, and we recognise the real and personal impact these issues have had. As Ye said today, he acknowledges that words alone are not enough, and in spite of this still hopes to be given the opportunity to begin a conversation with the Jewish community in the UK.

While a formal summer tour has not been announced, the artist has a scheduled performance in Italy on July 18, 2026, following his recent shows in Los Angeles and Mexico City.
