Karl Holmes Appointed to Lead Disney+ in EMEA Following Luke Bradley-Jones’ Departure
Karl Holmes will lead Disney+ in the EMEA region. He replaces Luke Bradley-Jones, who took a position as President of the Economist earlier this year.
Holmes will report to Jan Koeppen and Joe Earley. He will manage Disney+’s operations across EMEA and will oversee a team based in London that has developed shows like Rivals, Extraordinary, and The Good Mothers.
Holmes has ten years of experience at Sky. He has held several senior positions, including Chief Operating Officer for Europe and Chief Financial Officer for the UK and Ireland.
Jan Koeppen commented on Holmes’ appointment, stating that he has a solid record in consumer-focused businesses. Koeppen believes Holmes will help the team succeed.
Holmes expressed his excitement about joining Disney. He has admired the brand for years and looks forward to leading their direct-to-consumer efforts in EMEA after a successful decade at Sky.
Following Bradley-Jones’ departure, Disney is also looking for a new content chief for Disney+ in the region after Liam Keelan’s exit.
