# Kate Courtney Dominates Low Gap, Eyes World Championship Glory
kate Courtney reaffirmed her status as a leading force in mountain bike racing, securing her fourth consecutive victory at the Low Gap race on January 26, 2025. This win isn’t a new venture into long-distance racing for Courtney, building on a strong foundation of endurance achievements and signaling a focused season aiming for both marathon and cross-country World Championship titles.
## Building Momentum: From cape Epic to Low Gap
Courtney’s success at Low Gap is part of a broader pattern of dominance in long-distance mountain biking. In 2018,she partnered with MTB legend Annika Langvad to conquer the Cape Epic,winning seven stages and the overall title. This year, she kicked off her season with a general Classification (GC) win at the Tankwa Trek in South Africa alongside Candice Lill.
Adding further variety to her readiness, Courtney excelled in the Grasshopper Adventure Series, winning two rounds and shattering the women’s course record at the 90-mile Huffmaster Classic with a blistering time of 4:17:25. These results demonstrate a versatile skillset and a commitment to pushing her limits across diverse terrains.

## A New Team, A renewed Vision
This season marks a significant shift for Courtney, who now rides for She Sends Foundation with support from Allied Cycle Works and SRAM.She also benefits from partnerships with Rivian, Rapha, and Red Bull. This move reflects a purposeful effort to align with brands that share her values.
“It’s been a lot of work this year, launching my own program and really doubling down on my work with the She Sends foundation,” Courtney explained. “I was looking for brands, mostly US-based, who shared this belief that racing could be translated into something of real value, not just for the fans of the sport and the athletes now, but has a lasting impact on future generations.”

“I am still really focused on cross-country mountain bike racing, and that is what I plan to focus on for the next few years,” Courtney affirmed.
