Katy Perry Surprises Fans‍ at Melbourne Nightclub

Katy Perry, currently on tour ⁤in Australia, ⁢made a surprise appearance at Chasers Nightclub in Melbourne‍ on Saturday. The appearance followed her⁢ Lifetimes Tour ⁤performance at Rod Laver Arena.

Perry joined the club’s LGBTQIA+ Poof Doof night, which featured a Katy Club ‍ event celebrating her music. following a similar event in ⁣Brisbane, perry bought the Melbourne club an hour of free drinks.

“You guys⁢ raised me,” Perry told the crowd. “I thank you and ⁤I love you, you are my chosen ‍family… Because you ⁤are my chosen family, a mother must provide for her children, so⁣ as a provider, I would like ⁢to ⁣open ⁣the bar⁤ for one hour. The drinks are ⁤on me,baby!”

In Sydney,Lorde recently⁢ appeared at Mary’s Underground⁢ during an evening called‍ What Was That,named after⁤ her ⁤recent single.

Perry’s Australian tour‍ began in early June with sold-out shows in Melbourne and Sydney. During a Sydney show on June 9, a stage invader joined Perry.⁢ Footage showed a man putting his arm around Perry, who turned ‍away as he danced. “There’s never going to be another‍ show like⁢ this, so‍ just‍ enjoy it!” Perry told the audience.

The man, ‍Johnson Wen, known for posting stage invasion videos on TikTok under ‍the username @pyjamamann, was‍ arrested and⁣ charged with ⁢“entering enclosed ⁤land and obstructing a person in performance of work or duties.” He was granted bail and banned‍ from the Sydney Olympic Park precinct for⁤ six months.

Perry’s tour continues ⁢with sold-out shows in ⁢Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.
