Partnership aims to cultivate future global leaders through hybrid learning programs.

March 19, 2025

Two organizations have announced a partnership to create a new educational model focused on developing the next generation of global leaders. The collaboration will focus on hybrid exploration learning, combining real-world experiences with digital technology.

A key component of this initiative is the launch of an exploration tour series. The first tour, a medical edition, will allow students to examine social issues within the context of regional medical care.

The Medical Edition offers junior and senior high school students interested in medical careers the opportunity to learn about the current state of local medical facilities and advanced medical technology. This includes visits to general hospitals, local clinics, and medical research facilities, primarily in Hokkaido and Sapporo. Students will also gain hands-on experience with medical equipment.

Exploration Tour Series Overview

The exploration tour series connects challenges faced by local communities with exploration learning methods used in secondary education, providing practical learning opportunities for students. The program is structured in three stages: pre-learning,on-site learning, and post-learning.

Digital technology will be used to enhance learning before and after the on-site experience. The core of the program focuses on developing students’ abilities to think and act independently. This is achieved through interaction with local people and experiencing the appeal and challenges within the local community. Exposure to cutting-edge digital technologies is also incorporated to improve digital literacy among students.
